Air + Moon
In the late hour the Air is wide awake, and so is the Moon
They meet every night in various places
, but they can never fully touch.
Tonight they meet in the sky, above the water.
It is a pure sky this time
so they applaud with a dance.
Without touching.
The Moon takes the first step,
with its light performing a jeté,
casting a reflection across the sky and down to the water.
To which the Air sensually flows
through the cracks the Moon could not cast upon.
Often times the Air gets carried away
and seeps into the Moon's infinity.
Yet it is always pushed back into the dance.
They dance until the first light,
with the morning colors joining them in their duet.
Meaning they must conclude their night and wait for the next.
"Until the next," they always say.
Truly unfair,
but they wouldn't change a thing.
