To Me From Me
I have bloomed like the Hydrangea,
Stuck to the sky like the Summer sunsets,
Found myself in the noise of the city,
All the way back to Uncle Norris' windchimes.
And although my father calls me witty,
This journey proved me to be a bit blind
And obtuse to the strife of life.
I spent some time wilting in the rain.
Yet, I still remain.
Exiting my mind and entering my heart
I have learned to love within, up close, afar.
I have felt love in more ways than I can count.
It's the same as the sun's glow filling up a cloud.
I have bloomed like the buds of my hair.
Now I can breathe more when things are unclear,
It's freeing to be a part of the nature that shaped me.
And I will continue to see myself in everything.
Because my love has bloomed, and so have I.
